Professional landlords use different application processes for first-hand housing. Larger housing companies tend to use a longer, more automated application flow that requires detailed information from the tenant. This helps them manage a larger number of applications efficiently. Smaller companies have more direct contact with applicants. Since they have fewer applications, they don't have the same need for automation.
You can see which application process the landlord has chosen by looking at what's written on the application button. "Apply" indicates a longer flow and a more automated selection process, while "Contact" indicates a shorter flow where communication takes place within the conversation tool on Blocket x Qasa.
How the longer application flow works
When you apply to a listing that uses a more automated selection process, you need to provide the following information:
- Your contact details
- ID verification
- Household members
- Current housing
- Source of income
- Credit check
- Your introduction
Note that you need to upload a valid certificate when verifying your source of income. Here you can read more about what counts as a valid certificate: Frequently asked questions about certificates and verifications
