Create a profile
Start by creating a profile if you haven't already. In your profile you will have the opportunity to write a bio, tell about your employment, and what previous housing references you have. Fill out your profile information fully, in order to maximize your chances with landlords. Do you want to show your credit score? Apply for a Rent guarantee and landlords will know there's been no complains. When you are satisfied with your profile you can contact the landlord by clicking "Apply" in the listing.
Contact the homeowner
We've introduced a new application system at Blocket Bostad for an easier and safer process to find a new accommodation.
This means that the first contact always happens by applying to an ad. Get in touch with a landlord by applying to the home you are interested in. Do it by clicking '' Apply '' in the ad. It is not binding and super simple. The landlord receives a notification regarding your application. They then get the opportunity to either accept or deny your application, if it's accepted, a chat is started. You can find it under messages. All your applications will be gathered in the same place. When a landlord chooses to proceed with your application, you will be able to contact each other through our message tool.
Optimize your search of a home
Under the tab "all listings" you can create your rental profile.
Here, you can add your search criteria with details such as, pets, desired size, rent and location. The rental profile is then matched against all homes that are currently published and rank them according to how well they match your profile. In other words, you no longer have to scroll through lots of irrelevant ads just because they are published sooner than an ad you are more interested in.
Note that you will see ads that do not always match your criteria completely, as we believe they may still be of interest to you as they are "close" in proximity to your criteria. Read more about the rental profile here
Click on an ad for more information, and apply with a simple click. If you do not like a particular listing, then click "not relevant". Our algorithm will gett better at understanding which listings are interesting to you. If you happen to press not relevant on a listing and change your mind, you can always find them under "Applications" and then under the "Denied" tab. It is not binding to apply or approve a request.
Safe Rental
It's a choice you and the landlord make together when you feel ready to sign a rental agreement. The service is designed to ensure a fraudulent-free subletting. In addition, we hope to bring security and knowledge to the sublease for both you and the landlord. You will be assisted throughout the entire rental period with everything from creating a lease to ensuring that your rights as a tenant are considered, Qasa will handle all payments and give you personal support during the rental if needed.
Sign the rental agreement
When you sign your rental agreement, you only pay the rent stated in the listing and the lease, and a deposit, which is sent to you by e-mail and invoiced using Billecta.
Once you have agreed to sublet the home, the landlord will generate a lease tailored to your rental. You sign it online using BankID, quick and easy. If you don't have BankID, contact us through our chat support and we'll helt you sign it without BankID. Please note that blocket bostad in collaboration with Qasa never requires money upon the signing process. When you sign your rental agreement, you only pay the rent stated in the listing and the lease plus a deposit, which is sent to you by e-mail and invoiced using Billecta.
Payments through us
When the lease is signed, it is time to pay the deposit. Qasa sends the deposit invoice via e-mail. We keep your deposit in a separate client funds account throughout the rental and all your rental payments go through us for your safely.
If you use our service "Safe Rental", please be aware to never pay anything directly to a landlord. Never pay any fee/deposit, or rent through a payment service such as Trustly, Skrill, or other payment services. We only use invoices sent via email and payment is made to our "bank giro". Do not disclose any bank or card details.
