The short answer is no.
Tenants face a lot of up-front costs when moving into a new home. That's why we're offering them the opportunity to rent a home without paying a security deposit when they sign a lease through us.
What does it mean for me (landlord) if my tenant chooses to rent deposit-free?
For you, as a landlord, it makes no difference if your tenant chooses to rent deposit-free or not. If damages occur during the rental period, you simply make a claim to us and get compensated for the damage if the tenant is found responsible.
What does it cost?
For you, as a landlord, there is no cost. For the tenants, there are no up-front costs for selecting deposit-free. It does not affect the amount you, as the landlord, receive.
What does my tenant need to do to rent deposit-free?
In order to use this service the tenant needs to pass a credit check via UC.
When you sign your lease, we'll perform a "micro check" using the tenant's personal number. If the credit check is approved, the tenant can select deposit-free after the lease has been signed.
